Africa, although still overlooked by many, is becoming a unique continent where modern urbanization processes are taking place and unique architectural designs are being created. The Tamale Mini-living project by Magadalena Górecka of modelsoffbeauty is an interesting example of settlement construction in West Africa.
Tamale is the capital of the northern region of Ghana. The third largest urban center in West Africa and among some of the fastest growing metropolises in this part of the continent. It is a region located in the Savannah ecosystem, directly blending with the Sahel culture. Tamale Mini-living will be built in this unique location.

distribution of needs
The concept of the apartment is adapted to the possibility of living a minimalist life in harmony with nature and the need to take care of health. As the author points out, the project is a satellite of the existing and award-winning TamaleFit gym. Tamale Mini-living is a concept of an estate adapted to a variety of needs, combined with short-term rental housing, outdoor recreation and plant processing, for which there are flat roofs where moringa leaves or hibiscus flower petals can be dried. The need for healthy housing is an important part of the whole premise.

The space has been developed between private and common areas. Among them, you can find a public walkway with a restaurant, bar or gym. Residents have the opportunity to participate in evening yoga sessions. It was important to combine the common with the private. Open to the community, at the same time with the possibility of finding a place for oneself.

The typology of apartments is based on character types. The introvert's apartment has a hidden patio - allowing for a more relaxed feeling in one's own environment. An extrovert's apartment has a large platform that is connected to a public space - allowing for a more open and social use of the home. A two-story compact apartment also appears in the complex. The apartments and their shape depend on the type of residential island.

gardens and technology
The vegetation appearing in the complex is not just an aesthetic ornament, but can serve as a source of food. Plants such as baobab, acacia, hibiscus and moringa can be found here.
The structures of the buildings were made using the poured-earth technique, which is similar to pouring concrete, except that a higher percentage of soil is used here. The complex uses natural materials.

It was important to suit the weather conditions of the site. It was important to create the right thermal and wind conditions in the complex. The pergolas that are located throughout the complex create a pleasant environment for meetings and relaxation. The architecture of the complex seeks to combine modernity with local traditions.
The complex is expected to be built by 2025
