The Warsaw branch of the Association of Polish Architects is launching a new series of events - "Conversations of the Warsaw Branch of SARP". The first meeting will be held already on January 23 this year at the Warsaw Architecture Pavilion ZODIAK. We invite you!
The new series of meetings will be devoted to important topics in architecture, urban planning, urban planning and sustainable development.
The theme of the inaugural event will be revitalization. Jocelyn Fillard of the SUD Archiekt Polska studio has been invited to the first talk in the series. The architectural office has been involved in revitalization processes in Poland for 15 years, and calls its approach to this issue the Metamorphosis philosophy. This concept, developed over many years of practice, has been used in various historical buildings, such as Manufaktura in Lodz, the new main railway station in Katowice, the Europejski Hotel or the historic tenements at 13/15 Foksal Street in Warsaw.
During the presentation, titled "Metamorphosis: A concept of architectural and urban revitalization," Jocelyn Fillard will describe the process of creation and development of projects that were milestones in building the Metamorphosis philosophy. The studio's special approach to this topic is concerned with the holistic consideration of the urban fabric, as well as individual architectural objects, the genius loci of the place and the feelings of its users.
The presentation will be conducted in English. The meeting will take place on January 23, 2020 at 18:00 at the Warsaw ZODIAK Architecture Pavilion.
