The Gdynia Modernism Route invites you to a series of summer walks around the modernist architecture of Gdynia. All participants will be led by certified guides. The walks will take place every Saturday in August at 2:00 p.m. It is a good opportunity to get to know Gdynia from its architectural side.
August walks under the banner of Gdynia Modernism Route will be held every Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free for all interested. The start of the walks - Gdynia InfoBox at 30 Świętojańska Street.
Certified guides will take participants along two routes. The first is "Modernist downtown at the junction of the city and the port". Part one: InfoBox - Kosciuszko Square - Swietojanska Kaszubski Square - Portowa Street (fragment) - Jana z Kolna Street - Municipal Market Halls - Constitution Square.
The second route is "Modernist downtown at the interface between the city and the port." Part two: InfoBox - Skwer Kościuszki - Żeromskiego - Pułaskiego - Waszyngtona - Świętego Wojciecha - Żeromskiego - Świętego Piotra - Portowa - Węglowa - B. Chrzanowskiego.
Among the attractions during the walks will be the presentation of archival materials and photographs, and each participant will receive a map of the walk with information about the route and architecture. There will also be a mini-competition-competitionfor the best photographs in August. Winners will be rewarded with a set of souvenirs and a book.
