The Poznań branch of SARP and the Wielkopolska Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, in the era of #stayhome, have decided to reach out to architects and architecture lovers.
Twice a week they invite people to watch documentaries about buildings, designers and design together. The action was born from the original "Projector" initiative, which was a series of film meetings. Now, every Thursday and Sunday, we are invited to sink into the most comfortable - because home - armchairs and watch.
This Thursday, April 2, at 8pm, there will be a screening of the film "Archikosmos" by Marcin Nowak and Marcin Zasada, which tells the story of post-war modernist architecture in Katowice. The documentary shows the impact of the era of cosmic discoveries on the work of Silesian designers. In the mining era, dreams of extraterrestrial travel, a Martian station on Earth and space colonization were floated. Today, few remember the space passions of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s that fired the imagination of Katowice residents.
The film will be shown courtesy of its creators Marcin Nowak and Marcin Zasada . A link will be posted on the event's website one hour before the screening. More information can be found here.
Documentaries provided by SARP Poznań and the Wielkopolska Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland will always come from a legal source, and viewers will be informed of the selected title two days before the event.
Previous screenings were devoted to Polish design. Three films were presented - "Furniture for Ignacy Moscicki", "Armchair "366" by Józef Chierowski" and "Zofia Stryjeńska's blocks".
