Nature Aparthouse - focus on yourself is a house for rent built in the middle of the forest in the Beskid Maly, near Magurka. Its owners - Szymon Jackowski and Margarita Palunichka - make sure that guests will not lack, above all, peace and quiet.
They searched for a location to build for as long as five years. It is not easy to find a place that is close to the city, while at the same time giving a sense of seclusion from civilization. Such possibilities are offered by Bielsko-Biala, located under the mountains themselves. There is a whole house at the guests' disposal with an environment that allows them to rest and regenerate in their own rhythm, in accordance with nature. The couple jointly runs the Barometer Coffee & Bar cafe and the Palunichka Kitchen bakery and organic pastry shop, located in the city center.
The author of the architectural design, decor and the whole idea is Szymon Jackowski himself. He made the concept of the house on millimeter paper. Then, in cooperation with Urszula Lorenc, an architect from Bielsko-Biała, he worked out its details, such as that the windows should be placed so that their frames were not visible from the outside.
Basia Hyjek: Where did you get the idea to combine concrete and forest?
Szymon Jackowski: Regarding the whole concept of the house, I wanted to create an object that blended with nature. I had to use natural materials for construction, acceptable to the environment, so that the building would fully harmonize with it. I used structural concrete and steel. I wanted the house to have as "simple" concrete body as possible, without unnecessary embellishments. The whole building from the outside, as well as inside, was made only with natural materials: concrete, glass, metal and wood. On the interior, it is stone, wool, linen, clay, copper, brass and cast iron. Virtually everything was created by craftsmen to order, so as to achieve uniqueness and uniqueness of form, in accordance with my vision.
Basia: What is the philosophy of Nature Aparthouse and how does the interior reflect it?
Simon: Nature Aparthouse's philosophy, like mine, is to live in harmony with nature, spend as much time as possible in silence away from the city chaos. Where you can feel the thoughts and focus on yourself. The interior of the house is "modest" and yet comfortable.... Calm, subdued, pastel, aesthetic, and the materials used are only natural, where the flow of energy is completely free.

Basia: What was particularly important to you in creating this place?
Simon: The most important thing was to do everything myself as much as possible, that is, to put in as much of my own energy as possible. I built the house myself, except for pouring the concrete, making the roof and putting in the windows.
Basia: What do you value most in the interior? Do you have a favorite room, room?
Simon: It's indescribable, what you feel being in it, I didn't expect, I didn't think I could create something like this, a place where you "drift away", time doesn't count, you don't worry about anything, as if you were outside the real world. It's amazing here, not to be told, it has to be felt.
