Information and communication technology is entering urban space! The era of Smart City 3.0 is fast approaching. A modern trash garbage can with anti-terrorism immunity, providing up-to-date data on the state of the air, fits in with modern needs and shapes urban space.
Smart City 3.0 is a stage of multimedia transformation of the city, which improves the quality of life and affects the involvement of its residents. Visual information systems, seating, various dispensers or charging stations for smartphones and other mobile electronic devices are important elements of urban space. While performing their basic functions - flowerbed, bench, waste garbage can - they can at the same time become a component of the entire urban multimedia message system, as well as a security and safety system.
Smart city garbage can
One of the most interesting proposals of Enovio designers is a multimedia garbage can equipped with an air quality sensor and information about the level of filling. Its built-in 27-watt photovoltaic panel can power backlight advertising (a screen that is about the size of an A2 format), a smog sensor, and a fill sensor that will inform city services when the bin is full. The capacity of the battery installed in the device is 30,000 mAh.

Safety in the city
An important aspect of the well-being of residents is safety in the city. Thanks to the power supply, the garbage can is illuminated in the evening and at night. Sensors respond to movement, so the illumination works when people are nearby. Enovio has also developed a version of the garbage can with anti-terrorism resistance. With an optional system for collecting waste in a special underground container and a special arrangement of flaps, the garbage can will reduce the damage of a cargo explosion and increase the safety of people in its immediate vicinity.

The whole design task was to create objects that will combine seemingly contradictory things - they will be modern and neutral, personalized and for everyone, competitively priced and of high quality, distinctive and integrated into the environment, technologically simple and surprising.
The Multimedia Bin is a convenient, modern and safe waste container - an object that, in addition to helping to keep things tidy, can be a visual attraction of urban space and an element of the entire smart city management system. An interesting aspect of the Smart Bin is the possibility of including the garbage can in the system of urban advertising. Thanks to such solutions, traditional paper advertisements disfiguring the city disappear from our surroundings, while communication and announcement systems are created instead, enriched with additional functions.

A trash can will inform you about the air quality
With its solar-powered air quality information panel , the garbage can fits in perfectly with contemporary trends. The green lights on the panel - indicating the good state of the air - will be a kind of reward for any pro-environmental initiatives. Yaroslav Markovich says of such ideas:
At Enovio, we have adopted a strategy of creating completely new solutions from the beginning. We try to develop products that have not been on the market before or have not been developed. Thinking about modern cities, we can't close ourselves in a simple scheme, such as that we put a bench, a basket, a bike rack and flowerpots in the square. Modern residents use multimedia, so they need them in the city space or park as well. Filling information, in turn, should greatly facilitate the work of city services. When designing products at Enovio, we try to think comprehensively about all these needs.
A friendly and modern space always benefits the city, residents, city authorities, and even business and industry. This can apply even to such trivial objects as trash garbage cans, especially if their solutions allow for the postulate of multitasking, so characteristic of modernity.
