Residents of Polish cities are feeling a growing need to green their neighborhoods. A large part of the projects included in Civic Budgets concern the creation of, among other things, pocket parks, urban flower gardens and the planting of new trees. This year, flowers will appear on the traffic circle of Powstańców Śląskich in Wroclaw.
Yesterday we wrote about a meadow to be created this year in Lublin - Lublin invests in meadows. Today, more "green" news is coming from Wroclaw. "Flowers on the Roundabout and Powstańców Street - an urban garden in the center of the city". - This is the name of one of the projects included in the 2018 Wrocław Civic Budget.
Implementation work will start next month and will be divided into three stages - preparation of the site, execution of horticultural works and warranty care of the greenery. The investment is expected to cost about PLN 250,000.
In particular, the gardening work will involve planting more than 2,200 shrubs, nearly 7,000 perennials and bulbous plants, and establishing a flower meadow. In addition, existing shrubs will be replanted, and the lawn will also undergo reclamation , says Marek Szempliński of the Board of Urban Greenery in Wroclaw.
Thanks to the investment, the traffic circle will be transformed into a center of recreation and rest for local residents.
