Aluprof systems in architecture.
From the series "Modern office buildings - trends 2022".
Modern solutions in construction are most often associated with commercial buildings - office buildings, which often reach considerable heights, requiring unique structures. However, contrary to appearances, they are also used in facilities whose purpose is not only related to professional life. We present objects serving people in different areas of their lives and interests, which were built using Aluprof systems.
Mint Legacy Tower
One of the most prestigious investments in Poland. The tower, along with a lower building measuring "only" 43 meters, which was built on the side of Zelazna Street, is more than 65 thousand square meters of rentable space. The building is perfectly in line with the current trend of growing demand in the Warsaw office real estate market, where top-class spaces are of particular interest - and this is what Mennica Legacy Tower offers. It is here that the largest lease agreement in the history of the Polish real estate market was signed - mBank has leased almost the entire usable area of the tower and will occupy more than 45 thousand square meters. The lower building offers almost 15 thousand square meters for lease.

The glass facade systems were designed by Aluprof, which carried out the project in cooperation with Eljako-Al. The first of these, the MB-SE80 MLT mullion and transom element wall system, is a solution designed for the construction of lightweight curtain walling of the suspended type. The second system, designed for the construction of part of the facade of the lowest floors of both buildings in the Mennica Legacy Tower complex, is an individual MB-SR60N MLT mullion and transom wall system.
The Mennica Legacy Tower complex has received the highest possible ratings in multi-criteria certificates for modern construction. In the BREEAM system, the building earned the highest possible rating, Outstanding. The other important certificate is LEED, which Mennica Legacy Tower also obtained in the highest possible category, Platinum.
Mennica Legacy Tower, designed by Goettsch Partners and Epstein, was among the top ten buildings awarded in the fourth edition of the "Aluprof Systems Building of the Year" competition. It also received an honorable mention from the jury.

Skysawa
Skysawa is a new skyscraper located in the vicinity of Warsaw's UN Roundabout, at 36 Świętokrzyska St. The prestigious location, in the very center of the city and the Central Business District, makes the building another symbol of modern Warsaw.
Skysawa is one of the first office buildings directly connected to the station of the second subway line. The building was designed as a complex of two Class "A" office buildings that meet the highest requirements for commercial buildings. Building "A" is 9 above-ground and 3 underground floors with about 10,000 sqm of office space. Building "B", which is a 155-meter tower, has 40 above-ground floors and almost 25 thousand sq. m. of developable space. The cascading mass is best seen from the intersection of Swietokrzyska and Emilia Plater streets. Glazing crisscrossed vertically by narrow aluminum profiles forms the complex's façade from Swietokrzyska Street and Jana Pawla II Avenue.

Two types of aluminum facade systems have been used for the building's exterior shell: mullion and transom MB-SR60N EFEKT and element MB-SE81 SkyS. The exterior walls of Skysawa up to the height of the 9th, the technical storey in the entire complex, were built based on the Aluprof MB-SR60N EFEKT mullion and transom facade system. This solution allows the use of large glazing, achieving a smooth glass facade surface and realizing the most daring visions of architects while maintaining excellent thermal insulation, airtightness, wind load and other properties required by modern sustainable construction. Designed for the high part of the "B" building, the customized MB-SE81 SkyS elemental facade system is a solution that meets the specifics and expectations of construction and installation.
Skysawa has been certified under the BREEAM multi-criteria sustainable construction system at the Outstanding level.

In the fourth edition of the "Object of the Year in Aluprof Systems" competition, Skysawa, which was designed by Projekt Polish-Belgian Architecture Studio, was among the top ten awarded buildings.
Center South
The Wrocław complex, which combines office, service and recreational functions, was designed to be as people- and environment-friendly as possible. It uses only renewable energy, and that's not the only technology used in the facility, which can be a model example of sustainable construction.

The complex uses a graywater system, which saves more than 50% of this resource, and the lowering of room temperatures is supported by a freecooling system. It uses cool air from outside, replacing traditional air-conditioning units. The Aluprof systems used here are also responsible for proper thermal insulation of the building - keeping it warm in the autumn-winter season and reducing heating in spring and summer. The façade was realized based on the MB-SR50N HI+ solution with excellent thermal insulation parameters (Uf from 0.59 W/m²K), which was achieved, among other things, by using PE material as an insulator. The facade also reduces the transmission of sound, and the special construction is characterized by high strength. The window and door joinery of the South Center, in turn, is the MB-86 SI system, which has wide thermal breaks of the right shape, which made it possible to use an additional baffle in the insulation zone of the profiles. The two-component central gasket used in this solution perfectly seals and thermally insulates the space between the sash and frame.

A number of the above solutions made Centrum Południe qualified for certifications - WELL for Health and LEED for the Planet, as well as being named a Barrier-Free Facility.
The South Center, designed by APA WOJCIECHOWSKI, was also included in the second stage of this year's "Object of the Year in Aluprof Systems" competition.
Sara Kulturhus
It combines culture and entertainment. Exhibitions, concerts, performances and meetings are held here. In addition to the aforementioned functions, it also plays another extremely important role. It is a showcase for the municipality of Skellefteå and proof that wood as a building material is not reserved exclusively for low-rise housing, but can also serve tall buildings. The 20-story building, whose design also includes the use of glass and aluminum, also houses a hotel, spa and restaurant with panoramic views of the surrounding area.

In realizing the facade, a double façade was decided upon, intended to give the impression that the building blends in with its surroundings. The exterior shell was created using ALUPROF's MB-SW55 system - which was designed specifically for this building - with BVB environmental certification and GOLD/BREEM SE rating. The interior glazing, on the other hand, is based on the MB-86 SI system with its high-strength profiles and thermal insulation Uf of 0.92 W/m²K. These are not the only Aluprof solutions used here. The façade in the lower part of the building was realized in the MB-SR50N HI+ system with an A+ class certificate from the PHI Darmstadt Institute, which is recommended for the construction of passive buildings.

The uniqueness of Sara Kulturhus - both in terms of the building material and the systems used, which are part of the realization of green and energy-efficient construction - is confirmed by the fact that the building was presented at the "Build Better Now" exhibition. This exhibition model made it possible to bring together in one place the most inspiring realizations from around the world to promote sustainable construction.
Sara Kulturhus, which was designed by WHITE ARKITEKTER, is also the winner of the fourth edition of the "Aluprof Systems Building of the Year" competition in the foreign building category.
Warsaw Breweries
Once an industrial site used for beer production, now a multifunctional space serving the residents of Wola and beyond. The revitalization of the more than 4-acre site began in 2017 and is an exemplary example of a transformation that combines modernity with preservation of the site's historical heritage.

Today, Browary Warszawskie is passages and squares connected by greenery, which plays a special role in the project. In cooperation with dendrologists, tree species were selected that thrive in the urban space and at the same time will not be a nuisance to residents. In this environment, there is also a place for apartment buildings and office and service buildings, which, although aesthetically reminiscent of the past, use the latest solutions, such as a semi-structural facade MB-SR50N EFEKT - a system that gives a wide range of possibilities in the selection of profiles, sections and glazing, MB-SR50N OW outward opening tilt and slide windows or MB-86 thermal insulated doors.
