Furniture towards consumption
Ewelina Lekka is also involved in furniture restoration - observation of her own work and the problems of overproduction of trash in the furniture industry led her to analyze the market. Using only artificial or heavily chemically saturated materials does not allow for the reuse of raw materials. As a result, this leads to more non-degradable waste.

That ' s why the designed S'ploty furniture set, which includes seating, a table and a screen to divide the space, has a durable, solid beech construction to which modular wicker-woven elements are added. This allows for the quick replacement of surfaces damaged during use, and once removed, the elements do not pose a threat to the environment. Also through this, local, small-scale industry and craftsmanship are involved. The ability to repair furniture and use natural materials is a protest against furniture made of perishable materials, fueling harmful consumerism.
