The house designed by Roman Lis of Disinn Architects has a traditional house form with a gabled roof. What sets it apart are the heating solutions used. Thanks to them, even large spaces in the house can be easily and economically heated.
The house is located on a large plot with good sun exposure, so it is well lit. The investors, a family with two children, placed an emphasis on making the house south-facing and opening up to the garden.

the truth of the material
The interior of the house is white facades combined with wood, which creates a pleasant visual effect. Most of the rooms, as well as the terrace, face south, in accordance with the investors' wishes. The garage, on the other hand, is located on the east, which makes it not visible from the front. Inside, the house is also dominated by white and, in places, visible structural elements, such as roof beams, formwork and brick. These are all real construction elements, not additions to imitate them. This gives the whole thing an interesting, individual character.

spacious interior
The interior of the house, thanks to its southern exposure, is filled with light. This is also possible thanks to large glazing. However, to avoid overheating of the space, the architect used an interesting solution in the living room in the form of a solar beam. It restricts the sun's rays during the summer, thus preventing the temperature from rising in the interior. In turn, during winter on sunny days, the living room pleasantly warms up and the temperature in it can rise by up to 5 degrees.
zones for living
The interior of this one-story house is divided into zones. In the living area there is room for the kitchen, dining room and living room, which is more than 6 meters high. This is the central point of the house. The private zone includes the householder's bedrooms located in the southwestern part of the building. A usable mezzanine is also a convenient solution, which enlarges the area of the house.

nature-friendly house
The house is entirely heated by electricity. This is possible thanks to the use of underfloor storage heating. Such a solution is very economical. As the architect Roman Lis calculates:
On an annual basis, heating the house with electricity costs about PLN 2,800. To this should be added the cost of heating hot water, which is about 500 - 700 PLN, also per year.
Heating with electricity is undoubtedly also a good choice from the point of view of nature, as it does not increase dust emissions into the atmosphere.
