Jury Opinion
The work responds in a coherent and visionary way to the needs defined in the competition regulations.
It consciously assumes a significant interference with the existing substance through its reconstruction. The concept is conducive to
the creation of the area's centripetal function, taking advantage of the site's connections to its surroundings and its relief,
in such a way as to optimally offset restrictions on its use. Maintaining the existing axes
of views creates intuitive pedestrian and one-way routes, while taking into account the need to create a square
surrounded by forms that are not overwhelming and light in perception. Appreciated was the multifaceted premise of the
concept, which would include the creation of public infrastructure for building social ties, protecting nature
nature, creating an efficient transportation system, increasing energy efficiency,
and at the same time balancing the availability of functions that promote the revitalization of public space
in all seasons of the year.
