descriptionThe official announcement of the results of the architectural and urban planning competition for the development of an architectural concept together with land development for the investment concerning the reconstruction of the Saxon Palace, Brühl Palace and townhouses on Królewska Street in Warsaw took place on October 12 at the SARP Exhibition Pavilion at 2 Foksal Street.
The event was held with the participation of Polish President Andrzej Duda and Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Gliński.
As the organizer, Saski Palace, stressed, "This competition aims to restore the entire western frontage of Pilsudski Square, together with Saski Palace and Brühl Palace, and is the biggest architectural and urban planning challenge of the last decades. This project is an important step in the process of commemorating the history of the Polish State and its Capital."
Five projects made it to the second stage of the competition. They were evaluated by the Competition Jury consisting of:

The function of secretary of the competition was performed by arch. country. Marek Szeniawski, the function of assistant was performed by arch. kraj. Rafał Mroczkowski.
First Prize in the amount of 300 thousand PLN gross and an invitation to negotiate in the mode of a free hand was awarded to the WXCA studio! Second Prize was awarded to the project created by the studios FS&P ARCUS, K. Ingarden, J. Ewý Architekci and Asman Pieniężny Architekci, and the third prize went to the proposal of the LAN and P2PA offices. Two honorable mentions were also awarded to the proposals of Piotr Płaskowicki Architekt and AMC - Andrzej M. Chołdzyński.
