"Best Diploma Architecture".
Warsaw, as a very rapidly developing agglomeration, needs recreational spaces, green spaces and spaces providing opportunities for active leisure - spaces that at the same time take into account the needs of people with disabilities, the elderly, those in need of therapy and children, who, according to the project, must not experience feelings of exclusion and misunderstanding.

The Zacisze residential area is characterized by a unique atmosphere, thanks in part to the location of the Bródno Farmhouse - a place with a specific function and form. The development prospects of this area of Warsaw are also of considerable importance. Targówek is a district with good infrastructure, which is to be intensively expanded in the coming years (a second subway line is planned). The nature of the district and its residents favor the idea of accessibility of the project. Being part of the Bródno Manor Farm, the therapeutic equestrian center will create an accessible space for all users. Based on the idea of a sensory path, a complex of buildings will be formed, the main idea of which is to create a place of tranquility and a space cut off from the bustling city life, within which the only attractor is the horse. It is around him that all activities take place and he is the basis for the functioning of the establishment. The path takes the form of a pedestrian route, which plays the main communicative role within the establishment. It is intended for both animals, employees and visitors: riders and horses, participants in equestrian activities, parents with children, trainers.

The primary goal was to include activities typically outside the city with a location relatively close to the city center, to ensure that residents have constant access to the recreational, therapeutic, sports and health benefits associated with contact with the horse.

The designed facility is to become a neutral complement to the existing space, a background for daily horse-related activities and the surrounding nature. Against the background of its immediate surroundings, the farmstead is distinguished primarily by its non-German character and the height of its buildings, which formed the basis for determining the form of the buildings. The premise was spatially subdivided to make it easier for users to experience particular sensations and emotions associated with contact with the animal. The equestrian center complex consists of four free-standing buildings, space for horseback riding, space with economic functions and green areas. With its form, the development creates an urban interior, referring to the manor buildings - it opens up to the rest of the establishment of the existing Bródno Manor and creates a publicly accessible central space. A stable, an indoor riding arena, a welfare and administrative building and an educational pavilion have been designed. In addition, paddocks, pastures and an open area for therapeutic walks with horses, guided tours and hippotherapy classes were designed on the premises. The existing greenery and ditch within the plot have been preserved.

The project incorporates solutions that have an impact on minimizing the carbon footprint, such as a wooden post structure, solid wood stud walls and a green roof on the stable building. The aspect of an unchanging climate and ecology are integral to the project, and pro-environmental solutions are envisioned in technological and installation details.
