Trend for the future - EQUITONE facade panels.
From the series "The most popular facade and wall materials - review 2022".
For more than a century, EQUITONE has been designing and manufacturing lightweight yet highly durable fiber-cement facade panels. Today, EQUITONE is firmly focused on the future. Working closely with architects, the global fiber-cement materials brand has accelerated and documented its path to a closed loop with two clear ambitions for 2030: to develop materials with low environmental impact and to eliminate waste generation altogether.

Environmentally friendly fiber-cement
EQUITONE fiber-cement, is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly facade materials, certified with an environmental product declaration in accordance with international standards.
It consists only of natural raw materials: Portland cement, cellulose fibers, lime meal, water and air.
The resulting facade panels are very durable. They also create excellent acoustic and thermal insulation for the building, as they heat up slowly and cool down just as slowly.

In addition, EQUITONE large-format panels are thin and lightweight, and as a result can be cut to clad almost any façade, using a minimal amount of material per square meter.
A facade finished with EQUITONE panels is waterproof, bending resistant, and frost resistant. It is also a material that is not susceptible to biological corrosion, such as rotting, moss overgrowth, damage from bird droppings, etc.
EQUITONE facade panels are available in large formats. They can be cut to any size or necessary shape at the factory or on site. The design possibilities are endless. Installed in a ventilated facade system, EQUITONE facade panels allow air to circulate behind the cladding, keeping moisture, mold, heat and frost away from the building. EQUITONE façade panels can be fastened using visible or concealed mounting systems, providing an architectural project with the security and aesthetics expected of high-density fiber-cement cladding.

There are six lines from the EQUITONE series to choose from. They have a variety of surfaces - from smooth (matte or glossy), to fluted three-dimensional, to rough, unpolished. Free samples of EQUITONE can be ordered at https://www.equitone.com/pl-pl/
Sustainable architecture the trend of the future
Sustainability product manager Maarten Milis: "We are working to develop a new generation of fiber-cement, reducing our environmental impact in all processes, from design to production. Our goal is zero potable water consumption, zero landfill and low carbon emissions, and we are exploring ways to increase recycled content."

By 2030, EQUITONE has two primary goals to achieve:
- Produce materials with a low impact and minimal carbon footprint throughout their life cycle.
- Generate no waste in landfills by reusing products inside and outside our factories.
Radical openness and collaboration
Aware of the scale of the challenge ahead, EQUITONE openly shares its progress and actively seeks innovative partnerships with experts in the field - from architects and scientists to manufacturers and contractors.
"The construction sector is responsible for 38% of energy-related carbon emissions, more than 35% of total waste production in the EU and half of all extracted raw materials," says Maarten Milis. "We see the need for change and are taking up the challenge by strengthening the bridge between science and industry and connecting ideas, people, companies and resources."
The brand has held several sessions on sustainability with architects to identify its customers' most pressing needs and define its new global commitment to sustainability.

"It seems that sustainability is a topic that architects find as interesting as it is frustrating. Although most architects are passionate about building more responsible buildings, they are often held back by the fact that sustainable materials are either too expensive or lack information."
That's why EQUITONE has published a Manifesto outlining its vision and goals for 2030, a series of interviews with the team behind the brand demonstrating the importance of internal and external collaboration, and Sustainable Materials Information documents offering an overview of key sustainability facts and figures with links to more detailed reports, such as relevant EPD product environmental declarations.
Maarten Milis concludes: "We want to relieve the burden on architects by cutting through the glut of information and giving them the tools to transform the industry, building by building."
The brand plans to provide regular updates to keep all stakeholders and interested parties up to date. For more information and downloadable documents, visit https://www.equitone.com/pl-pl/srodowisko/
