"10 Questions to..." is a series of short conversations with architects and female architects, to whom we address the same pool of questions. Are you curious how your favorite architect describes architecture in three words? Or would you like to know what books or cities inspire him the most? Find the answers to these questions in our mini-interviews! In today's episode of the series, we asked Krzysztof Zalewski of the Zalewski Architecture Group studio for answers.
Krzysztof Zalewski graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology, where he currently teaches. He deals with issues of architecture theory, the design process, and the architectural avant-garde. His areas of interest include: behavioral and emotional foundations of design, innovation in architecture, technological and material experiments, and shaping space with the use of electronic media. Since 2005, he has run the Zalewski Architecture Group architecture office.

3. The most important book on architecture...?
There are many. The first one, which, while still in college, triggered a "worldview" change in my perception of architecture as a dynamic process relating to cultural and social issues: Bernard Tschumi's "Architecture and Disjunction."
4 Most inspiring city and why...?
Copenhagen - because of the respect of the people, the lack of complexes, openness and a sense of humor, not only in architecture.
5. architect with whom you would like to design something and why...?
With any creative architect.
6. hand drawing or computer drawing?
Sketch at any stage - because of its flexibility, potential for inspiration, greater capacity for meaning, speed of writing and the role of chance in design :)
7. mockup or 3D model?
Mock-up, 3D model and any other tool that stimulates thinking.
8. modernism or postmodernism?
Any "smart" architecture.
9. After-hours work or sports?
It's hard to stop being an architect, so it's worth having a springboard, necessarily as engaging. In my case - guitar, jazz.
10. architecture or business?
Architecture and business. The order matters.
