Poznan University of Life Sciences

Poznań University of Life Sciences is a university with a century-long tradition of academic agricultural and forestry studies and almost seventy years of functioning as an autonomous entity. Its history dates back to 1870, when, through the efforts of August Cieszkowski, the Halina Agricultural College was established in Żabików near Poznań.

Today, Poznań University of Life Sciences is one of the most prominent natural science universities in the country. It educates about eight thousand students each year, in twenty-five fields of study, employs more than 800 academic teachers, including more than 135 professors, with a modern material base and a wide range of qualified research and teaching staff.
