author's description
The Zachem Chemical Plant in Bydgoszcz was built on the ruins of a factory that produced explosives for the Third Reich. Zachem initially used post-German remnants and engaged in the production of TNT, among other things. In later years, the factory's operations were expanded, resulting in significant development. In 2013, after a failed privatization, it was declared bankrupt.
In a series of 12 graphics, I take a tour of the remains of buildings related to the life of my uncle Zbyszek, who worked at Zachem for 50 years. While still a teenager, he worked at the chiseling machine, and after the Plant was declared bankrupt, already as an engineer, he supervised demolitions. I present places such as the canteen, the clinic, the community center, the first and last place of work.
