In the next episode of the #NOWE TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE series, the guest of the meeting, hosted by Jakub Glaz, architecture critic and editor of the A&B portal, will be Przemo Łukasik, an architect from the medusa group studio.

The conversation straight from the Krakow recording studio will be broadcast on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be seen live on A&B's YouTube channel and Facebook page. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the conversation.

Przemo Łukasik and Jakub Głaz

Przemo ŁukasikPrzemo Łukasik a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, also studied at Ecole d'Architecture Paris-Villemin in Paris, France, where he also taught for a year. The Parisian period in his life resulted in gaining experience in the studios of such architectural icons as Jean Nouvel and Odile Decq. In 1997, together with Łukasz Zagała, he founded the original medusa group studio, which today has offices in Bytom, Warsaw and Dubai!

Already a year after starting its independent activity on the Polish market, the studio won the award of the president of the Katowice Branch of SARP for the debut of the year, and in 2000 the Silesian Governor's Young Creator Award. The good fortune continues to this day the team has received the Grand Prix in the Architecture of the Year competition of the Silesian Voivodeship three times (for: the Wasko office building in Gliwice, the Infinite Dreams office building in Gliwice and the TechPark Kanlux), numerous nominations for the European Mies van der Rohe Award, the Architecture Award of the Mayor of the City of Warsaw for the best public building for Akademeia Highschool, and the SARP 2022 Award of the Year in the category of Office, Education or Administration Building for .KTW in Katowice! The architects are also the authors of the Wave office building complex in Gdansk, the headquarters of CD Projekt in Warsaw's Żerań, the Mieszkaj w Mieście (Live in the City) development in Krakow, the interior design of the now iconic Koszyki Hall in Warsaw, and the proposal for the adaptation of the Krystyna Shaft tower in Bytom, which they are trying to save.

Jakub GłazJakub Głaz  architecture critic, publicist, animator of spatial activities, editor of the architekturaibiznes.pl portal and regular columnist of the Architektura & Biznes. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Poznan University of Technology, who directed his professional path towards the popularization of architecture and efforts to repair cities.

He is a two-time winner of the Journalist Award of the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, author and curator of numerous architectural exhibitions, co-founder of the "Centrum Otwarte" initiative and the Modernist Architecture Festival "Nowy Plan", co-author of the book for children and adults "Common does not mean nobody's" and two series of the TV series "Book of Space". In the film series "Domokrążcy" he shows unique stories of Polish houses and apartments.
