Large sheet formats allow the design and installation of elements with few joints, where dirt and bacteria tend to accumulate. The ability to postform the sheets further supports the elimination of joints that are sensitive to dirt ingress.
Formica laminate provides versatile surface applications: doors, wall coverings, toilets, fixed and movable furnishings such as full furniture units, tables, chairs, cabinets, bed components.
Healthcare facilities often have limited budgets, so the low maintenance costs and long service life of Formica laminates are particularly attractive to designers and managers of these facilities.
Working closely with architects, designers, clinic and hospital managers, our products have transformed many aging healthcare facilities into modern, patient-friendly facilities for the 21st century.

Healthcare facilities can become a home for the patient during the most anxious moments in their lives. Nina Bailey, Design Manager at Formica Groupsays:
Creating a sense of positivity is important. Thoughtful design and careful selection of colors will go a long way in helping patients through a difficult time.
Nina recommends using calming colors to calm and relax both patients and their visitors. In her opinion, cool blue tones will quickly set a positive mood. She adds that:
Incorporating natural elements of wood and greenery is a good way to improve patients' well-being. Ocean Grey, Pale Olive and Possum are green tones with a slightly gray undertone. Used in the right way, they calm people down and remind them of what's going on outside. Try combining them with simple oak-inspired woodgrain decors - Natural Oak or Elegant Oak - and you'll get a naturally tailored finish.
Nina suggests combining a relaxing shade of pink, such as Just Rose, with pale shades of gray and elements that create a textile effect, including Sarum Twill - this will help create a calm atmosphere. The warm and yellow tones of Mojave, Sandstone and Antique White are cozy and create a homey atmosphere, while darker decors - such as Jarrah Legno and Elemental Corten - blend well with them by changing the shade of lighter colors to add contrast.
