From the series "Facade and wall materials - trends 2024"
The interiors of office and public buildings are becoming a real oasis. Warm finishes in the form of wood or felt and the technology hidden underneath them that takes care of comfortable temperatures, friendly acoustics and softly spilling light make us increasingly gain moments of relaxation. We can achieve this extraordinary atmosphere through high-quality interior finishes for walls and ceilings.
In recent years, we have seen a strong trend and desire for architectural solutions that combine functionality with high aesthetics and uniqueness. Increasingly, our customers are commissioning us to personalize the solutions they choose, adapting no longer only to unusual sizes or locations of planned systems, but also their shape such as oval finishes or giving a new, separate function to separate spaces. Thanks to the possibility of customizing Hunter Douglas products to original shapes, interiors become unique," says Jacek Szeląg, General Manager at Hunter Douglas Poland.

show me your walls and I'll tell you....
Today's finishes and wall systems are so sophisticated and complete that they require no additions. Examples of developments that have chosen to use non-trivial walls include Wrocław Business Garden and the offices of Alliantie Insurance in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Solid Wood Grid wall cladding from Hunter Douglas was used in the common areas of these facilities . They created natural walls that give the interiors an interesting look. Architects are keen on using sustainable solutions and timeless materials such as oak wood, which with its color warms up the neutral color palette of office spaces.

The Wrocław Business Garden building featured wall and ceiling finishes made from a single type of Solid Wood Grid material, while the building in Amersfoort combined a vertical and horizontal wood slat system. The versatility of the Solid Wood Grid system allowed it to be used both as wall cladding to improve room acoustics and as openwork partitions to separate individual zones in common spaces. Solid Wood Grid from Hunter Douglas is a solution that is easy to install and can be used in all types of buildings. Solid Wood Grid wall systems are made to measure, making it very easy to fit its components together.

ceiling can be a challenge
The Norblin Factory, formerly the Factory of the Joint-Stock Society of Metal Factories Norblin, Buch Brothers and T. Werner, was built in 1820, and nearly 200 years later, has been revitalized for 2019-2021. The restoration and new arrangements of the Norblin Factory were a major architectural challenge, as it was necessary to preserve the historic elements of the former factory while incorporating a modern interior design style.

Designers from PRC Architects, used a special ceiling system from Hunter Douglas above the passageways. The Solid Wood Linear ceilings, based on wood in its natural form, gave the usable space the character of a "place with soul." The Solid Wood Linear ceiling system is easy to install and remove for access to the technical space.

Flexibility in our daily tasks makes us change our location even several times a day. During this time, we rest, use services or perform work outside the classic office. In each of these places we want to feel good and comfortable. And this is increasingly possible thanks to modern interior finishes. What's more, functionally and aesthetically finished facilities make us want to stay in them and return to them regularly, bringing the so-called "positive customer experience" every time. This is why investors are paying more and more attention to the high quality and aesthetics of finishing materials, such as Hunter Douglas.- adds Jacek Szeląg.
