The modern design of the multifamily building stands out against the backdrop of developments in Richmond, the capital of the state of Virginia - one of the oldest cities in the United States. The building is characterized by a large number of windows with a large glazing area and a fashionable, interesting facade.
The building is entirely maintained in a cold color scheme - grays and shades of blue dominate. However, the roof covering is a gray seamed metal sheet, and it is richly complemented by some of FAKRO's most impressive and functional roof windows - the FGH-V Gallery and FDY-V Duet proSky balcony windows, installed in combination. These windows blend in perfectly with the roofing thanks to the well-chosen colors of the cladding. The facade made of sheet metal panels of the same color complements the design.
Thanks to the design of the roof with a 45° pitch and the possibility of installing roof windows with a large area of glazing, the contractor was able to develop the attic by designing apartments in it. Due to building regulations, it was not possible to build a building higher than 2 floors at this location. Thus, in this realization, the windows not only fulfilled their main function of providing light to the attic rooms, but also made it possible to build more apartments. Here words of appreciation are due to the creator of the project, the architect himself.
The innovative windows are characterized by high aesthetics and functionality. From the outside, the Galeria and proSky composite windows look identical, so they blend together visually perfectly. On the other hand, inside, large balcony windows increase usable space by transforming into a balcony. The proSky windows, on the other hand, allow you to fully enjoy your surroundings, as the elevated pivot allows even a tall person to approach the edge of the open window.
