Progressive climate change, the increase in the price of fossil fuels and the increasing environmental awareness of Poles are causing heat pumps to soar in the rankings of sales growth in our country, as well as throughout Europe. The most popular are air-to-water heat pumps, whose sales last year - according to a report published by PORT PC - increased by 88% over 2020. The same report says that this was more than ten times as much as in 2017, and looking back 10 years, the increase was as much as 50 times.

Gree Versati heat pumps are the answer to the needs of Poles. Free Polska, the exclusive representative of the Gree brand in Poland, now offers the third generation of these devices based on the latest technology, the heart of which is an innovative two-stage rotary compressor that ensures efficient and reliable operation even in extreme conditions. The wide range of operating temperatures, which for heating range from -25°C to +35°C, and for cooling from +10°C to +48°C, makes Gree heat pumps suitable for any conditions of the Polish climate. Depending on the needs and available installation space, the customer has a choice of Split or Monoblok units. The Monoblok unit is characterized by its compact design, easy installation and requires the unit to be installed only outside the building. Split, on the other hand, has a wide range of installation and placement options for the units and does not require the water system to be brought outside the building.
Clean energy and energy efficiency
Gree Versati heat pumps are a modern and energy-efficient heat source that is used in both newly built and retrofitted buildings and homes. It is the cheapest and most environmentally friendly way to heat buildings and domestic water. Air-to-water units, which are Gree Versati, draw heat from the environment and force a heat flow opposite to the natural one. In the simplest terms, the device "pumps" heat from the outside of the building to the inside. In heating mode, the pump takes heat from the natural environmental energy that is the outside air, and then, thanks to a refrigerant and appropriate compression, transfers this heat to the water (the heating medium of the building). It can then be used to heat the house and domestic water.

The advantage is that the heat drawn from the outside air is "free". The heat pump is, of course, a device that needs electricity to operate, but the power consumption is very low. Electric power is necessary for the operation of the refrigerant compressor, fan, or electronic components, among other things. The ratio of the heating power obtained to the electrical power consumed by the device is determined by the COP. The higher it is, the more economical the unit is. For example, the Gree Versati III Split 6 kW heat pump (GRS-CQ6.0Pd/NhH-E) has a COP of 5 at A7W35 conditions (outdoor temperature of 7°C and circulating water temperature of 35°C). This means that with these parameters, supplying 1.2 kW of electricity to the system results in a heating output of 5 kW. Such a result confirms that Gree heat pumps are one of the most energy-efficient solutions for heating buildings. It is worth noting that Gree equipment is characterized by the highest energy class A+++.
Another very important aspect is that Gree heat pumps, drawing natural heat from the environment, do not generate any pollution or exhaust fumes. Using them as a heating source therefore realistically improves the air quality in the immediate vicinity of the building.
In addition, all Gree heat pumps operate with R32, a more environmentally friendly refrigerant than the R410A still in use on the market. It features, among other things, a lower impact on the greenhouse effect.
Another advantage of heat pumps is that they can be combined with a photovoltaic system. With this configuration, they draw completely clean and natural energy from the sun in an extremely economical way. This makes the heat pump operation even more environmentally friendly.

Extensive control options
The user of Gree Versati heat pumps has the option to set the circulating water temperature, the room temperature setpoint or control with a room thermostat.
The smart controller has a Wi-Fi module as standard, which allows remote control of the heat pump from the app. In addition, it is possible to connect the heat pump to a BMS intelligent building management system. One of the key functions of the controller is weather control. This is the most precise, energy-saving and efficient way of control. The weather function most often works in conjunction with feedwater temperature control. Thanks to it, Versati is able to automatically regulate the temperature of heated water flowing out of the heat pump depending on atmospheric outdoor conditions. The lower the outside temperature, the heat pump supplies the heating system with higher water. The precise setting of the resulting heating curve makes it possible to both maintain a high level of comfort for householders and stable operation of the entire system. What's more, the heat pump can then operate virtually maintenance-free.
Equipping the Versati III heat pump with a weekly operating schedule, in turn, allows programming automatic operation of the device at different times and days of the week, adjusting the operation of the device to the most favorable electricity tariffs. This has the effect of significantly reducing the heat pump's operating costs.
Possibility of integration with alternative heat sources
Gree Versati III heat pumps offer the possibility to integrate with alternative heat sources, such as a peak electric heater (standard for all Split models), a gas boiler, or a solar system. Thanks to the Versati III's modern design, this is quick and easy and does not require the retrofitting of expensive and complicated modules and accessories. Versati III models have built-in contacts to control the alternative heat source.

Due to the intensive promotion of clean energy sources, to which Gree Versati heat pumps undoubtedly belong, the purchase and installation of the equipment can be subsidized by programs such as "My Heat" and "Clean Air", or the user can deduct the cost of purchase and installation under the thermo-modernization tax credit. It is worth noting that the programs are complementary in terms of the people who can benefit from the subsidy. This is because the "Clean Air" program provides an opportunity for owners of modernized buildings to obtain subsidies, while "My Heat" is directed to owners of newly built single-family houses.
