The resolution of the Board of Directors of the "Coast" Branch of the of the Association of Polish Architects, dated October 25, 2024, which obliged branch board members to jointly agree on the content of publications issued on behalf of the Association's branch, contained an explicit provision that "its purpose is not to limit the expression of individual opinions of the architects of the Board Members" (quoted from the document).
Iga Nowacka and Radoslaw Standara were named by the Branch Board as editors of the draft resolution by a vote held on 8/10/2024. The final shape of the resolution was the result of the editorial work of a total of four members of the Board, and other members of the Board had the opportunity to propose changes to the content of the resolution.
The resolution in question, on the initiative of Board members, was forwarded to the audit committee of the Coast Branch for an opinion. After consultation with the audit committee, on November 21, 2024, the resolution was rescinded by decision of the Board. Thus, this occurred before information about the resolution appeared in the media, i.e., before it "made headlines" - to quote the author of the article. At the same time, the Board declared its willingness to create a resolution with more precise content, leaving no room for poor interpretations.
Yours sincerely
Radoslaw Standara
