Jury opinion
The project attempts to combine two functions in a way that is both sensitive and strongly radical. The introduction of a public space - a park on the roof (at the height of the first floor) shows the great awareness of the team in trying to respond to the environment by adding another value, while at the same time trying to achieve a functional compromise between the target task of the Museum building, which is cultural, exhibition functions.

The building uses the entire plot of land in a very rational and workable way, giving it a new dimension to a very defined space, with the effect of using the urban quarter as an orchard-garden-public space. This solution ensures that the building does not dominate the neighborhood. The park space on the roof of the first floor filling the quarter could serve both Museum visitors, casual passers-by and Museum employees.

The Competition Jury appreciates the very high culture of the designed details, the choice of materials and the rational division into a part of historical significance and a new supplementary tissue. The decision on the method of expansion by occupying the entire courtyard allows for a systematized way of circulation of visitors and museum supplies. The sequences of individual interiors have been thoughtfully and carefully designed.

Doubts are raised about the economic aspect of the proposed solutions, both in terms of the implementation of complex "wells" for trees, as well as the consequences of the presented solutions - additional high maintenance costs of the building, and above all the lack of flexibility of the exhibition space - too much subordinated to the complementary function proposed by the designers. Also questionable is the limited direct accessibility to both the basic and added utility functions of the facility for users with limited mobility.
