Jury Opinion
The thesis in the descriptive and design part is focused on the design of zero-energy buildings. The design of a development complex with a diversified program is an example of compact multi-family residential development supplemented with recreation areas, social functions for community integration, and gardens and greenhouses for growing edible plants. The project uses renewable energy sources, including perovskite cells on glass partitions. A rainwater management system was developed, designing water retention with solutions for reuse. The landscaping design includes plantings of water storage and drought-tolerant vegetation. Tall greenery plantings were also designed to introduce natural shading solutions. Material and construction solutions were used to reduce energy consumption and lower the carbon footprint.
In addition to the aforementioned features of the project, the jury appreciated the architectural solutions, the detailed analysis and solutions, and the way the design idea was presented.
