Jury Opinion

The main prize was awarded for the consistent use of prefabricated elements as both structural elements and giving a clear architectural expression to the house in Grzepnica. The use of this technology seems innovative in the aspect of single-family construction; it allows the use of fewer finishing materials, reduces the inconvenience of construction for the environment, and provides a great deal of control for the designer over the final result. On the other hand, it requires an extremely carefully and carefully prepared design, which will provide the building with an individual character, inscribed in the local context.

The house in Grzepnica, thanks to being broken down into smaller blocks, maintains the scale of a small habitat development. The dark restrained finish of the facade as well as the choice of species of plants introduced in the immediate vicinity of the house allowed the building to blend in with the immediate surroundings.
