abstract
The subject of the thesis is the revaluation of the Cooperative Housing Estate with the Cherry Orchard Park in Nowa Huta. The area of the study is located in sector D, the greenest district of Cracow, District XVIII Nowa Huta. It falls within the boundaries of the Nowa Huta Cultural Park, and since the beginning of this year has also been under conservation protection as a Monument of History. The premise was created in the 1950s and 1960s based on the methodology of neighborhood units and the ideal city during the canon of modernism and socialist realism.
Cherry Orchard Park, a small Krakow park, which is the main design target here, is located between the Cooperative Estate to the north and the Colorful Estate to the south. It covers an area of 2.73 hectares.
The purpose of the study is to conduct a historical, cultural, natural and landscape study, which will allow the creation of a project for the revaluation of the space of both - the Cooperative Estate and the Cherry Orchard Park, which involves the creation of an interesting andengaging, yet secluded place for rest and contemplation for residents of nearby neighborhoods of all age ranges, as well as transient tourists, while reflecting the character and history of the establishment.
