RECTOR prefabricated prestressed concrete ceiling systems for residential and commercial buildings
Prefabricated ceilings have found wide application in both residential and commercial construction. High quality, spans of up to almost 10 m, but above all, quick and easy installation make these solutions very popular.
WHAT DO RECTOR FLOORS CONSIST OF?
The basic structural element of RECTOR dense-rib floors is the RS prestressed beam made of C50/60 concrete and steel tendons consisting of 3 or 7 wires. The filling element of the inter-beam spaces can be a concrete block(RECTOBETON system) or ultralight wood-like panels(RECTOLIGHT system). The system is complemented by buttress rods and steel mesh laid in the over-concrete layer.
TAILOR-MADE CEILINGS
A wide range of prestressed beams and floor fillings allows the construction of ceilings with heights from 16 cm to 34 cm and spans of 9.8 m clear of the walls. The load capacity of the ceilings is also selected individually.
DESIGN SUPPORT
Designers and investors cooperate with RECTOR Design Office on a daily basis. It is enough to send design guidelines in .DWG or .PDF format to receive a finished ceiling design after a few days. Eurydice software is used for design, which is made available for free to all interested designers.
HIGH QUALITY
RECTOR floor solutions are used where great attention is paid to the high quality of construction and the floor is not allowed to develop cracks and cracks during the entire life cycle of the building. The use of prestressed beams, assuming only L/500 deflection, the installation of the ceiling with a negative deflection arrow and the use of steel mesh in the over concrete, ensures high rigidity of the entire system. Zones with higher loads (columns, partition walls) are adequately reinforced by using more strong beams. Reinforced superconcrete and the appropriate selection of prestressed beams make it possible to design for any partition wall location.
ELASTICITY
The ability to cut beams and hollow blocks makes it possible to make floor fields of unusual geometry. Installation passages and chimneys up to 48 cm wide fit into the inter-beam spaces. With wider elements, reinforced concrete replacements are made hidden in the thickness of the ceiling.
FIRE RESISTANCE
Both the RECTOBETON (up to REI 240) and RECTOLIGHT (up to REI 60) systems have been tested by the ITB and are successfully used in buildings with high fire resistance requirements. In the case of the RECTOBETON ceiling, it is possible to achieve parameters as high as REI 120 in the non-plastered version or REI 240 in the version with gypsum plaster with embedded galvanized steel mesh.
ACUSTICS
Theacoustic calculator created on the basis of studies of already existing ceilings allows to precisely determine the acoustic parameters of ceilings together with the applied finishing layers.
LIGHT ASSEMBLY
The beams, depending on their length, weigh about 15-20 kg/mb and allow manual installation. This solution also works well in cases where new structures are being built in existing halls and it is not possible to use a crane.
SYSTEMIC SOLUTIONS
Prefabricated lintels and girders complete the range of prestressed products. Rim fittings and ready-made prefabricated replacements make installation easier and faster.
ASSEMBLY SUPPORTS
Pre-stressed beams make it possible to limit the number of supports to 1 row (ceilings up to 5m span) or 2 rows (for larger spans). In special cases, it is possible to select special beams, which allow the installation of ceilings up to about 5.5m without the use of supports.
UNCOVERED CEILING
Architects are taking advantage of the unusual geometry of ceilings and are increasingly abandoning the finishing of ceilings with suspended ceilings. As a NRO product, the RECTOLIGHT system can be used in both residential and public buildings without any additional fire protection coatings. RECTOLIGHT has obtained a classification in terms of reaction to fire: B-s1,d0 - this means that the product is non-flammable, non-drip and non-decaying under the influence of fire and does not spread fire inside buildings.
INSTALLATIONS IN THE THICKNESS OF THE CEILING
Installation pipes including mechanical ventilation pipes can be routed in the inter-beam spaces under the RECTOLIGHT panels. Depending on the panel used, a space with a height of 7 to 14 cm and a width at the base of about 48 cm and tapering to the top is available. A properly designed installation hidden partially or completely in the thickness of the ceiling provides more usable space.
CEILING REPLACEMENT
When replacing ceilings in an existing building, the advantage of RECTOR solutions is simple and quick installation. It is enough to make sockets for the beams, and the rim is supported on the first row of lowered hollow blocks, acting as lost formwork. Up to a span of about 5.5 m, it is possible to select stronger beams that allow support-free assembly (during the assembly of the ceiling there is no need to use temporary supports under the ceiling).
