Penelas Architects

Penelas Architects is an international architectural firm dedicated to urban design and urban planning, with extensive experience and a wide range of projects. Founded and led by Dr. of Architecture Jose Luis Esteban Penelas, the firm has been in business for more than 28 years.

Penelas Architects designs and develops a wide variety of projects, participating in all stages of the project - from management and design, to construction supervision and on-site inspection of the work. The office team consists of architects, civil and industrial engineers, landscape architects and construction technicians.

Penelas Architects designs and develops mixed-use developments - both in historic cities and in rapidly developing locations. Projects range from large-scale projects, such as urban planning and master plans, to museums, auditoriums, urban plazas, office buildings, various residential typologies, parks - including retail parks, public and private schools, historic restoration, and furniture design. The office focuses on sustainable development, taking care of the environment and spatial context.

Currently, the office has projects in Spain, the Netherlands, South America and China, among others.
