Why the Hematite palette?
The new Hematite palette responds to current trends of popular colors used on facades. Gray is a neutral color that blends well with many colors. Thanks to contrasting combinations, it allows to highlight details and give the building an individual character.
With the Hematite palette you will realize many architectural concepts, including colors close to black. The freedom to use dark grays on the facade is provided by special pigments called cool pigments, which reflect a significant part of the sun's radiation (including ultraviolet or infrared radiation). As a result, the use of very dark colors is no longer a risk.
Dark facade - nice, but problematic?
Until recently, the use of very dark colors on large facade surfaces was associated with significant risks. Surfaces covered with dark colors, especially those with a reflectance of HBW<15, absorb most of the sun's energy and heat up very intensely, up to 80°C. When the weather changes rapidly, the walls cool rapidly, even by several tens of degrees, and this results in high stresses. As a result, cracks, spalling, bulges, etc. can appear on the dark facade.

Innovative pigments
The darkest colors of plasters from the Hematite palette (marked A3) have been enriched with special pigments called cool pigments, which make the surface of the facade not heat up as with standard pigments. As a result, thermal stresses do not appear on the facade, and the likelihood of defects is completely eliminated.
The Hematite palette offers the possibility of using dark colors on the facade in complete safety. The rest is already a space for the architect and designer to create.
