Tomek Rygalik for Nobonobo - five new furniture models

30 of March '20

Designed by Tomek Rygalik, the furniture for Nobonobo forms the basis of the brand's new portfolio. The sofas and armchairs were created in accordance with the circular economy.

Five new models can be arranged in any constellation, so they can fit into any space. Become the focal point of a room - Wadi sofa or Raksa sofa, or complement the interior - Oo and Nato coffee tables, or Tupak armchairs. Their subdued colors allow easy adaptation to the interior, and their forms fit any place - traditional and more modern. They will look good in a home setting, as well as in a space such as a coworking space.

The Wadi sofa is the most original part of the new collection. Its shape embraces the users sitting on it - the narrow modules of which it is composed may seem uncomfortable at first glance. Nothing could be further from the truth. The main assumption of the designer was, above all, their functionality - they were created with future owners in mind. In addition to the sofa, the Wadi series also includes a pouffe and an armchair. The covers of the furniture can be removed and washed, which helps keep them clean.

Raksa is a modular sofa, the members of which can be arranged in any configuration. It features a classic form, which is highlighted by a muted light gray hue. It was designed with comfort in mind - hence the large cushions that make up the backrest. Raksa can become the center of family life not only because of its size and comfort - the set comes with a table. The sofa cover can be removed in its entirety - including the armrests and base.
The Tupak armchair is another versatile design from the collection. The furniture is characterized by a stable wooden structure, which, together with a cushion, provides comfort.

Coffee tables complete the series. Nato are designed for "private" use - they can be squatted close together, against an armchair or sofa. Oo is a series of tables and tables that differ in size and height. Their characteristic detail is the rim surrounding the metal base. Anyone relaxing on the sofa or armchairs will be able to use it. The table will accommodate a book, a cup of tea and even a plate with dessert.

The tops of all tables have a soft under-moulding of the lower edge and are finished with American walnut veneer. It is worth noting that the upholstered furniture was designed according to the circular economy. This way of thinking about the product means that sofas and armchairs can be disassembled into smaller components suitable for recycling.
