Mateusz Kołacz

M.Sc. arch. Mateusz Kołacz - Graduate of the Artur Malawski School of Music in Przemyśl. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology, defending his master's thesis entitled. "Cross-border center for the protection of the Bug River ecosystem at the Polish-Ukrainian border in the town of Strzyzow", whose supervisor was Dr. Eng. arch. Przemysław Bigaj. The author's interests focus on architecture as an art discovered by sensitive and educated people who are able to perceive the hidden pretexts that shape the work. Reasons for creation - pretexts or inspirations can be drawn from various fields of art: painting, music, sculpture, poetry or philosophy - emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of creativity. Architecture is an elitist phenomenon, as its proper meaning can only be read by a few. Going against the currently dominant trends, the architect considers it inappropriate to juxtapose architecture with landscape and history on the basis of similarities. Instead, he proposes shaping space in contrast to nature, since only such a procedure will bring out the advantages of both sides.
