Maria Pączek

Graduate of engineering and master's degree in Architecture at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Faculty of Architecture, Cracow University of Technology. Author of the master's diploma project "Design of the Cistercian Museum with Meditation Center in the ruins of the former Cistercian monastery in Sulejów". She treats the profession of an architect as a mission and vocation, since childhood she knew she wanted to become one. As she emphasizes, architecture is her true passion, she is fascinated by the process of transforming the idea forming in her head into a real, ready-to-use building. For her, architecture is also a huge responsibility, because, she says, architects are responsible for the appearance of the space used by all people, and this has a direct impact on emotions, mood and well-being. In design, she follows the principle of Vitruvius' triad, firmitas (durability), utilitas (utility), venustas (beauty). Of these three, beauty is the most important to her. "Architecture should make an impression, when we look at a building, I would like to be able to say: 'wow, this is really beautiful'," - she says.
