Damian Maj

Born in 1995 in Mielec. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. Before his studies, he studied drawing privately in Zgierz, and then at the Graphis Drawing and Painting School in Rzeszow. He began studying at the Faculty of Architecture at PK in 2015. In 2016, he won the Rector's Award of the Cracow University of Technology in the "Interior-Light-Shadow" competition. In 2017, he took part in design classes, conducted in cooperation with Aluprof and Norlys, organized by Dr. Krystyna Paprzyca, Prof. PK. The classes ended with receiving diplomas from both companies, as well as taking second place in Aluprof's competition for the best use of the company's products in a student project. The house on water, which was designed at the time, was exhibited in 2018 at the "University-Business" exhibition. As part of the engineering project, he participated in the university's cooperation with a private investor - Lukasz Tokarski, owner of the Tyssedal Hotel in Norway. The project for the reconstruction and expansion of the Tyssedal Hotel was awarded first place in a competition organized by the investor for engineering works. He cooperated with the Regional Museum in Mielec in the creation of a virtual reconstruction of the Oborskis' manor house, published in Jerzy Skrzypczak's book "The Oborskis' Palace in Mielec. "The Oborski Palace in Mielec". Participant in the workshop "Memory of the Sea" organized in Wieliczka. The work designed then was published in the book "Alternative space for artistic activities". He currently works in the architectural office MEEKO in Mielec. Privately, interested in naval architecture, aviation, 3D modeling and computer graphics.
