Alicja Korbut

My name is Alicja Korbut and I am a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Architecture and Design in Gdansk. My second greatest passion right after interior design, is Polish furniture design of the 20th century. Therefore, for several years I have not only been designing interiors, but also restoring and making small furniture with my own hands. I began to gain professional experience at the beginning of my studies, and shortly after graduation I went to the UK, where I worked in a design office in Birmingham. After returning to Poland, I decided to set up my own studio S A L A K to further develop my passion for furniture design. In my studio, I am responsible not only for product designs, but also for their execution. Meanwhile, all major orders are made in cooperation with the best craftsmen in Pomerania. I greatly value direct contact with each customer and thanks to the fact that the products are made by ourselves in the studio, I am often able to approach orders individually and additionally personalize orders, according to the customer's needs - which gives me the greatest satisfaction.
