Seamless thermal insulation systems (BSO), a method also called "light-wet", is the most well-known and widespread way of insulating the exterior walls of buildings.
The technology, in principle, for many years now - has not changed almost completely. Still its basic component is a thermal facing in the form of Styrofoam and mineral wool attached to the substrate with fasteners (dowels) and adhesive. The whole is finished from the outside with structural plaster spread on a substrate previously reinforced with glass mesh embedded in adhesive. BSO system is a system of continuous (tight) layers: thermal lining, adhesive, glass mesh and structural plaster: lambskin, decorative, etc.
Bella Plast Ltd. S.k. is a long-standing manufacturer and supplier of finishing profiles for BSO systems. The company's offer includes all types of profiles allowing to professionally finish each edge of the insulation. Thus, we can find expansion joint mouldings (BP13 series), drip mouldings (BP14 series), decorative rustication mouldings (BP11 series), traditional reinforcing angle beads with glass mesh (BP10 series) or facade expansion joint mouldings (BP15) and angle beads, BP16.
Currently, Bella Plast Sp. z o.o. s.k. is introducing another novelty to its offer. This time it is the BP19 decorative PVC strip with glass mesh facade "seam".
The BP19 skirting board has been designed to obtain on the surface of the BSO facade typical, known from the technique of joining sheet metal on the so-called "seam" - identical external longitudinal grooves.
This solution, is perfectly in line with the increasingly common trend of installing flat sheets joined "on the seam" on the facade of buildings. It is unfortunate that the installation of sheet metal on the walls of buildings poses many technical problems for the contractor. First of all, it is a method taken from roofing, so it requires the use of typical roofing techniques, which, first of all, are not cheap, both from the point of view of the more expensive specialists that roofers undoubtedly are, as well as definitely more expensive construction materials and a much more complicated technique for making such a facade. However, the biggest objections in this case relate to the preparation of the substrate for the sheet, which is wooden battens, unfavorable because of the warping of the wood and to obtain good thermal insulation parameters due to the installation of the battens directly to the building wall and the lack of space to insulate the battens themselves.
Bella Plast's solution, the BP19 PVC strip with decorative mesh "on the seam" allows to achieve on the surface of the facade the same visual effect as joining metal sheets on the so-called "seam", but without a whole range of restrictions and problems typical for difficult to process and install flat metal sheets "on the seam".
Installation of the BP19 skirting board is analogous to the installation of slats and profiles dedicated to BSO "light-wet" insulation systems.
The BP19 strip has strips of glass mesh on both sides of the outer seam (PVC body). The glass mesh is mounted to the body by means of ultrasonic welding, which is characterized by high resistance to rupture and guarantees a secure connection between the PVC profile (body) and strips of glass mesh.
Mounting the BP19 strip to the facade surface is very simple. It is necessary to previously spread glass mesh embedding glue on the thermal cladding and stick the BP19 strip, then the glass mesh strips, with which the BP19 strip is equipped, should be covered with facade glass mesh overlapping from the top and both meshes, in one gluing operation, should be embedded. The next step, of course, is to spread a layer of plaster.
BP19 PVC strip with decorative mesh "on the seam" is produced in white technical color, designed to be painted with facade paints such as acrylic, silicate, silicone.
The best effect is obtained when the color of the plaster and the color of the paint with which we paint the BP19 strip "on the seam" is the same - then the effect of imitation of tin seam will be the best.
It is also possible to produce the BP19 strip colored in the mass in any color, including metallic, silver, etc.
The use of BP19 trim allows you to shape the view of the facade in a more accessible way and get a good effect of more interesting architecture.
It is also worth mentioning that using the BP19 skirting board completely eliminates the problem of connecting an elevation made using the "light-wet" BSO method with that part of the elevation where the "seam" sheet is installed. BP19 strip guarantees the uniformity of the system on the entire building.
The BP19 PVC lath with "seam" mesh has received protection from the R.P. Patent Office.
