Effective access management, asset protection and integration with other systems are becoming crucial to the operation of many market sectors. Roger's RACS 5 access control system, which, as an advanced Enterprise-class security platform, combines flexibility with functionality, responds to these needs.

Key features and functionalities
RACS 5 system

The RACS 5 system has been designed with the most demanding installations in mind. Its key features include:

  • Modular architecture - support for diverse installations, from single access points to complex systems covering hundreds of passages and thousands of users.
  • Real-time access management -real-time tracking of events and rapid response to incidents thanks to the built-in Map and Notification Module.
  • Flexible user management - the ability to manage users and permissions by multiple operators with different levels of authorization.
  • Support for distributed systems - efficient management of multiple subsystems through a communication server using secure LAN/WAN connections.
  • Time schedules - defining access procedures based on precisely defined time intervals.

Integration of RACS 5 platform with other systems

RACS 5 enables integration with a variety of systems, allowing the user to access additional functionality. Among the solutions that work with RACS 5 are:

  • CCTV - Monitoring of camera images in conjunction with recorded access control system events.
  • SMS - Notifications of alarms and unauthorized access attempts.
  • VMS - Central monitoring and management of access through the video management system.
  • BMS - Management of energy, air conditioning and lighting in the facility.
  • PSIM - Central management of security and safety systems.
  • ERP/RCP - Synchronization of employee data with access control system.
  • Hotel systems - Management of room access and integration with hotel services.
  • Alarm systems - Monitoring of alarm zones and prevention of access to armed zones.

The system's built-in Integration Server allows cooperation with any external solutions. Combining them into one centrally managed platform increases the security level of the building and optimizes its operating costs.

Security of Roger solutions

The basis for the reliability of the RACS 5 access control system is the security standards used , which ensure protection at a high level. The platform uses advanced methods of encrypting communication and data storage, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and cyber attacks.

Most commercially available proximity readers can only read the unencrypted serial number (CSN), which can pose a security risk. To effectively protect against ID copying, it is recommended to use cards and readers that support numbers stored in the card's encrypted serial number (SSN). For the highest level of security, Roger offers cards and readers that fully support MIFARE® DESFire® and MIFARE Plus® technology, providing effective protection against potential ID copying.

The RACS 5 system enables user identification via mobile devices (Android, iOS) using NFC and BLE technology, as well as via QR codes. Facilities with higher security requirements also use a multi-component authentication method, such as a card combined with a PIN code.

Summary

RACS 5 is a modern access management platform that combines flexibility with innovation and high security standards. The system's modular and scalable architecture and extensive integration allow it to adapt to the needs of facilities of varying specifications and sizes - from offices and commercial buildings, to public institutions, to industrial plants or facilities with special requirements, such as medical or penitentiary facilities.

Its advantages have been recognized in such facilities as the Warsaw Spire skyscraper, the "Pomnik - Children's Health Center" Institute, the Polsat Plus Arena Gdansk Stadium, the Aquarius SPA***** Hotel, the Multispecialist Voivodship Hospital in Gorzow Wlkp. or the Drutex SA manufacturing plant.
