CAD-PLAN

CAD-PLAN was founded in 1989 with the objective of providing a specially tailored CAD system for designers and planners in the fields of metal construction and facade technology. Since then CAD-PLAN has been growing steadily and today is one of the most innovative and internationally orientated companies in the CAD sector for metal construction and facade technology.

As a company location CAD-PLAN intentionally sought out the urban East End in Frankfurt, more precisely the creative mile of the Hanauer Landstraße within sight of the European Central Bank. One reason for this was the high concentration of IT enterprises, which encourages innovation. And DE-CIX, the world’s largest Internet node in terms of data throughput, is located here.

Thanks to its functionality and high operating comfort, the core product ATHENA has become established as the most successful CAD solution for facade construction. This software is now installed in ten languages in over seventy countries spread over the globe. Many facades of large buildings throughout the world have been designed with ATHENA; the most prominent example in Frankfurt is the European Central Bank directly on the River Main.

In the course of time the product portfolio has been supplemented with other software products relevant to the sector.
