Comfortable ventilation from ZEHNDER
From the series "Heating, ventilation, air conditioning - inspiration and solutions 2020".
Ventilation is supposed to provide fresh air indoors as the basis for the health and well-being of residents. At the same time, it can be a solution that is innovative and modern enough to increase the value of the property and be energy efficient. Zehnder focuses on enhancing the quality of life by providing customers with the best solutions for a healthy indoor climate.
For individual rooms, the Zehnder ComfoAir 70 decentralized ventilation unit with heat and moisture recovery is best suited. Another decentralized unit, the Zehnder ComfoSpot 50, can pump up to 55 m³/h of air, while operating extremely quietly.
However, for a larger number of rooms or an entire house, Zehnder's individual products create a comprehensive solution based on the air handling unit and air distribution system.

Zehnder ComfoAir Q air handling unit - the heart of the system
It is from the air handling unit that we start creating the ventilation system. The Zehnder ComfoAir Q series consists of three air handling units with different capacities, for use in apartments, single-family homes, as well as offices or commercial buildings. In this, it sets the highest standards in energy efficiency and design combined with ease of operation. The reduction in energy consumption begins with lower fan power requirements, thanks to the optimization of the use of the interior of the air handling unit and the air flow in the exchanger.

In addition to the technical parameters, users will appreciate the quiet operation, which is made possible by the refined design and a special overlay that optimizes the airflow to the fan. Very important is the fact that the original Zehnder filters will stop even fine dust, according to the ISO 16890 standard. Why is this so important? Each person inhales an average of 15 kg of air into the lungs per day, and it is through this route that the finest particles, which cannot be seen by the naked eye, reach the lungs and the circulatory system. The result is not only sleep disturbances, a worsened sense of well-being or a negative impact on our concentration and performance. There is also an increased risk of allergies, asthma and many other diseases.
The Zehnder ComfoAir Q's strengths also include contractor-friendly and trouble-free installation, an intuitive first start-up procedure and the unique ability to convert from left to right versions. The casing of the unit is a combination of intelligent solutions with interesting design and ease of operation. The display, through relevant operating data, educates the user on energy consumption, comfort and environmental impact. Modulating bypass controls air volume through an adaptive comfort temperature profile that takes into account people's different temperature sensations. A modulating pre-heater optimizes the unit's operation in winter. Zehnder ComfoAir Q is a winner of many awards that highlight the uniqueness of the manufacturer's solutions used.

Enthalpic exchanger - balance of heat and humidity
An interesting solution used in Zehnder ventilation systems (central and decentralized) is the ERV (enthalpic) cross-counterflow exchanger. It allows the transfer of heat energy and moisture between two air streams.
In winter, the exchanger will allow up to 70% moisture recovery from exhaust air, increasing comfort in living spaces, resulting in a real increase in indoor humidity of approx. 10%. In summer, on the other hand, moisture is exchanged in the direction from supply air to exhaust air, resulting in a reduction in indoor humidity and significantly increasing indoor comfort. The material used in Zehnder's ERV exchangers is resistant to the settlement and penetration of bacteria and fungi, is odor-free, and is suitable for cleaning with water.
Air distribution
For air distribution, systems with round or flat profile ducts are available. This allows flexible adaptation to any building conditions. Both variants can be easily integrated into the body of the building and quickly installed. Simply choose the most suitable variant or combine both where advantageous.
