Elegant - a unique window concept
PVC windows are known for their durability, robustness and excellent performance. Today, however, in addition to excellent technical performance - which is the minimum necessary for a good range of window systems - visual aspects are also important , such as a modern, slim appearance and minimalist design.
The ability to choose different sash designs that will blend in perfectly with the style of the building being designed, and to choose the right color and surface finish structure, is an extremely important aspect of designing window systems at a time when design plays a key role.

Trends and the future
In designing the Elegant series, Deceuninck focused on trends in construction, those of today and those to come. From an architectural point of view, an important factor is the ability to choose the right sash shape, which, when assembled with the frame, will create a visually harmonious whole with the body of the building and fit perfectly into its character. Windows and doors (the Elegant system also includes door profiles) are durable elements of the building structure and together with it form an architectural element with a long life. So it's obvious that building trends for the coming years had to be taken into account.
Thus, Deceuninck defined three architectural styles for the Elegant platform, with a range of stylistically matched sash shapes, as well as a range of colors and surface finish structures.

Urban design, modernist or rustic?
Starting from the urban style, Elegant Infinity is a minimalist geometry of an unflanked sash with sharp, clearly defined edges and slender shapes, whose characteristic feature is an extremely narrow rebate, amounting to only 9 mm, and in the fiberglass-reinforced version of the sash - reduced to 7 mm, so that the sash has a unique on the market, extremely slender, minimalist shape.
What about very modern designs, usually reserved for aluminum systems? With the answer comes the modernist industrialism of the Elegant Abstract flush sash, which is completely flush with the frame. It too has sharp, clearly defined edges. This shape makes it the ideal sash for the most modern building projects, which blends perfectly with facades in aluminum systems.
Complementing the above styles is a cozy retro look, represented by the semi-sash Elegant Orgin, which is a combination of the classics known from wooden windows with a touch of modernity.
This type of aesthetics will be a great complement to buildings in classic or rustic style, and will be perfect for both renovations and new buildings stylistically referring to the past.

Elegant inspires.... Colors!
The Elegant series was designed so that the base colors (profile colors) create aesthetic harmony with the colors of veneer films, whose rich collection(50 colors and textures) will allow to respond to any style and taste. This makes it possible to use both conservative colors and more avant-garde ones. The veneer films are divided into four categories:
- natural wood, in which a selection of warm wood tones is available, enhancing the rustic character of country houses
- wood in color - these are classic colors superimposed on the warmth of wood, creating the perfect symbiosis of tradition and modernity
- smooth colors, creating an urban color palette with tasteful shades of gray, providing an ideal finish for lofts and industrial projects
- metallic - perfectly reflecting modern surroundings colors based on the metallic trend, reflecting minimalism at its best.

Technology meets design
The Elegant series uses a proven, patented technology called ThermoFibra. This is an innovative reinforcement of the sash with continuous bundles of glass fiber along the entire length of the profile, not just in fragments. What significance does this have for architectural design? First, in combination with Forthex thermal reinforcement in the frame, the window achieves an exceptional Uf of 0.88 W/m2K - which is of considerable importance in achieving passive building standards or other energy-saving requirements. Secondly - thanks to ThermoFibra reinforcement, which replaces steel reinforcement, the sash is much lighter, which is important in use with large sizes. Another advantage is the extraordinary stability, and finally, but also important - thanks to the extremely narrow rebate obtained in the Infinity ThermoFibra version of the sash, the glazing area is optically increased and the amount of light let into the room increases. What more could you want?
An environmentally friendly choice
Finally, it is worth mentioning an extremely important thread today. Ecology has also entered the construction industry the issue of taking care of our planet is becoming one of the most important challenges of our civilization. Deceuninck is taking steps to recycle and reuse PVC not from today. All components of Elegant systems can be recycled. The company has its own Recycling Center in Diksmuide, Belgium, where it has been recovering PVC since 2012, producing secondary material of the same high quality and stability as the primary material. Today, with the first generation of PVC windows reaching the end of their "life" and mass replacement taking place - estimates are as high as 400,000 PVCs per year from such replacement - this is of considerable importance. PVC is a 100 percent recyclable material, with a potential life cycle of at least 350 years. By using recycled PVC for windows, which have a life cycle of 350 years (PVC can be recycled up to 10 times without losing its properties), we have a chance to significantly reduce our environmental impact! Deceuninck is already doing this.
