Fragment.Vasen is a series of wooden vases handmade from upcycled materials. With a layer of natural beeswax covering the inner walls, they are waterproof and also fully biodegradable.

Our design relates to nature and craftsmanship. We wanted to make use of waste materials mass-produced by the wood industry. We gave them a second life—we made a collection of vases that are functional and decorative. Our goal was to show the beauty of raw materials. They are handmade, and through the working method—splitting the wood with an axe—we emphasized its characteristic rough structure, the authors say.
