author's description
I had the opportunity to design a 205 m² house for a wonderful young couple in my current project, in which the entire first floor and the very wide staircase were covered with Monolith Grand Cave Grey tiles, which - with a raw stone effect - create the perfect background for the minimalist style of the house. My clients also entrusted me to plan a comprehensive smart home solution to meet all their needs. In addition to the more common smart home features, such as control of lighting, cooling, heating, ventilation, shading, security and access, other unique solutions were developed: integrated audio and multimedia systems, motorized curtains and pre-configured lighting patterns with motion sensors. An exciting further feature is a touch-activated smart home control hidden in the countertop of the kitchen island.
The entrance hall, corridor and staircase create a cohesive, harmonious whole through the use of bright white furniture, asymmetrical front panels, black handles and accessories, geometric shapes and unique metal elements. The open kitchen, dining room and living room are designed in darker colors with brown and rust red accessories. The stove and exhaust fan are integrated into the kitchen island. Lighting is provided by a concealed magnetic track system with dramatic LED extensions mounted on the ceiling. In the living room, one section of the large sofa is open to the kitchen with dining area.
jury opinion
In third place was the work of Enikő Salamon from Hungary, who opted for modernity combined with American style. In addition to massive furniture in graphite black and red, there were stone accents. The floors were lined with Grand Cave tiles, giving the interiors a classic elegance and naturalness.
