The work was awarded for successfully combining the ideas of metabolic architecture with functional openness, expressed in a contemporary form.
The realization of the widely understood functional program of the recreational and cultural complex, complementing the Palace and Park complex in Pulawy, including the experimental theater, is made possible by the modular, open and, by design, adaptable to continuous transformation of the internal space. This provides a basis for forecasting not only the suitability for current purposes, but also the long-term suitability of the facility for the changing future needs of users.
Noteworthy is the extension of the metabolic ideas of the 1950s to contemporary material and energy ecological solutions, derived from the principles of closed-loop economy and minimization of the carbon footprint in all phases of the facility's life.
