Jury Opinion
The award was given for:
- good disposition of land development with the use of terrain and existing greenery,
- simple, clear, functional-spatial arrangement,
- simple and original architectural form friendly to the environment.
The project is very unusual. Immersed in the greenery, the horizontal mass with a scenic viewpoint at the end in the form of a landscape opening allows the user to exist in the surrounding greenery without distorting it. The shape of the building imitating an embankment is a background for the surrounding greenery. Glazing with a vantage point in the solid structure provides a frame for the landscape view opening, which has been specially highlighted. The focal point of the building is a structure formed by footbridges, from which the view can be enjoyed. The proposed project proposes a modern vision of communing with nature, which is expressed by the landscape form of the building. The author of the project emphasizes such values as openness, accessibility and turning to nature.
