Jury opinion
The realization was appreciated for the elegant exposition in the public space of the archaeological monuments
archaeological monuments, which prove the splendor of the beginnings of the Polish State. The new buildings reflect
the outline of the ancient walls, but were realized in a modern way with the use of sheets of artistic glass
and lighting. The solutions used perfectly correlate with the Gothic architecture of the neighboring buildings
and subtly complement the public space of Ostrów Tumski in Poznań. Exposure of relics of the Palatium
Mieszko I and the palace chapel is not only of historical significance, but also of spatial significance. The investment has become
a contribution to the ordering of the public space around the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Summo
and the creation of a new viewing axis from the Warta River to the Poznan Cathedral.
