Jury's opinion
The work shows that the focus of architects' attention should be all users of space; it proves that people, animals, plants and fungi, can live in harmony. The urban-architectural concept is an attempt to respond to the paradigm shift in the perception of human-nature relations from an object-oriented to a subject-oriented approach. The project presents a form of interspecies cohabitation, based on the principles of equality.
The difficult location outside of dense development, in a non-urbanized landscape, may be controversial, but the project's logic and underlying philosophy demonstrate an extremely mature and conscious approach to environmental conditions. The project, in its assumptions, is based on non-invasive solutions, allowing the elimination of the negative effects of the occurrence of interference in the landscape through the environmental services of air purification, water storage, carbon fixation and maintenance of biodiversity. The use of natural local materials (earth, wood, straw), the partial self-sufficiency of the commune based on horticulture, energy production and waste processing are important distinguishing features of the work. The project is characterized by deep sensitivity and awareness of contemporary threats to the environment, which, thanks to the analysis of the profiles of non-human agents, are eliminated.
Ideologically deep, environmentally conscious and inclusive work, yet very modern..... Beautifully presented and drawn. It shows a very sophisticated and mature architectural technique.
