Results of the 4th edition of the Tubądzin Design Awards competition

descriptionOn March 9, 2023, during a gala ceremony held at the Grand Theater of the National Opera in Warsaw, we recognized the winners and Grand Prix winners of the 4th edition of the Tubądzin Design Award competition.
TheTubądzin Design Awards (TDA) organized by the Tubądzin Group since is a competition for architects, female architects, male and female designers, as well as male and female students from around the world.
The competition, which ran from March 1 to November 30, 2022, was open to individual participants and teams. In each category of the competition, any number of works could be submitted and participated in any number of stages of the competition.
The competition task was to present projects in the fields of architecture, interior design and design, in which Tubądzin products would be used.
Prizes were awarded in stages and year-round. In each stage of the competition, the organizers awarded three projects each in the Young Power, Everyday Design, Unlimited Architecture categories, and selected one project in the CultureFORM category.

As part of the competition, the organizers also announced a special task - the design of toilets at the Grand Theater of the National Opera in Warsaw.
"The works present extremely intriguing interpretations of each category. The participants demonstrated not only great professionalism, but also artistry and a pro-ecological approach. In this way, the projects were in keeping with this year's central theme of proximity to nature." - reads the press release.
The competition was decided by an international jury consisting of:
- Allan Starski (Poland) - chairman of the jury, film and theater set designer, Academy Award winner
- Martin Duplantier (France) - chairman of the French architectural council "Architecture et Maitrise d'Ouvrage",
- Malgorzata Szczepanska (Poland) - editor-in-chief and creative director of Elle Decoration magazine
- Melike Altınışık (Turkey) - founder and chief architect at Melike Altınışık Architects,
- Tomasz Smus (Poland) - architect at Tubądzin Group.
The jury awarded the Grand Prix in four categories: Unlimited Architecture, CultureFORM, Everyday Design, Young Power and a Special Prize.
Second and Third Prizes were also awarded in each of the four categories.

In the Unlimited Architecture category , the Grand Prix went to Klaudia Golaszewska from Poland, along with her design team: Michal Hondo, Marek Grodzicki, Kinga Grzybowska. Second Prize went to Oksana Shumelda from Ukraine, and Third Prize went to Yulia Podolets from Ukraine with co-authors: Volodymyr Balandukh, Vitaliy Lytvyn, Kateryna Kubai.
In the CultureFORM category , the Grand Prix was awarded to Aleksandra Sitek from Poland.
In the Everyday Design category , the Grand Prix went to Natalia Nykolyshyn and Yaroslav Bakhovskyi from Ukraine. Second Prize went to Anna Zygmunt from Poland, and Third Prize went to Maryna Lekht from Ukraine.
In the Young Power category , the Grand Prix went to Luan Fontes from Portugal. Second Prize went to Shikara Silva from Sri Lanka, and Third Prize was awarded to Maryna Metsger from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Special Award for the design of the toilets at the Grand Theatre National Opera in Warsaw went to Anita Leydo from Poland.
