The MICROHOME Kingspan Edition 2024/25 competition is the eighth edition of the prestigious architectural event, which focuses on designs for small, modular homes of up to 25 m². The edition is organized by Buildner in partnership with Kingspan, highlighting their joint mission to promote innovative, sustainable architectural solutions.

purpose

The goal of the competition is to encourage male and female architects to create innovative designs for small houses that are simultaneously functional, aesthetically pleasing and sustainable. Contestants are tasked with designing an off-grid, modular home for a hypothetical young professional couple, maximizing the use of space within 25 m².

terms and conditions

The competition is open and is open to both professional and student participants. Competition entries may be submitted individually or in teams of up to 4 people. All submissions and communication with the organizers are conducted in English. Registration fees with a student discount apply.
