ArXellence 3 international competition

The organizers of the ArXellence international architectural competition are inviting architects from around the world to submit proposals for the creation of a center, self-sufficient in water. The facility will be located on the Greek island of Gyaros. The competing concepts are intended to help develop a strategy for biodiversity in the eastern Mediterranean. Participants should keep in mind the need to respect the natural landscape, the island's historical heritage and keep sustainable design solutions in mind.

purpose

The competition aims to preserve the historical memory and promote sustainable development on the island of Gyaros in the Cyclades archipelago. Participants are encouraged to take a holistic approach, combining various fields of knowledge to create innovative design concepts. The competition is an opportunity to participate in the creation of innovative projects that will contribute to the preservation of the cultural heritage and environment of Gyaros Island, as well as the promotion of sustainable development in the Mediterranean.

terms and conditions

The competition is open to architects, urban planners, environmental ists and other professionals interested in sustainable development and environmental protection. Participants may enter individually or in teams, but interdisciplinary teams are recommended. Each team should present a project in accordance with the guidelines of the competition. Multidisciplinary teams may participate in the competition provided they are led or co-led by an architect. The competition is not aimed at students.
