purpose

The purpose of the competition organized by the Palace of Culture and Science is to propose a concept for the development of the south-eastern corner of Świętokrzyski Park in Warsaw. The new way of arranging this space is to increase the quantity and quality of available greenery while maintaining the sports and recreational character of the designed area.

terms and conditions

The competition for the concept of developing the corner of Swietokrzyski Park is an unlimited, one-stage and implementation competition .

Concepts will be evaluated, among other things, in terms of utility, visual and pro-ecologicalaspects. The competition jury will also take into account economic aspects related to the use of the space made according to the concept presented in the competition.

The organizers of the competition have also provided detailed criteria. Among the primary criteria are, among others, the functionality, quality and attractiveness of the covered park concept, the feasibility and economy of the proposed solutions, or the coherence of the connection between the existing park and the new space between the Museum of Modern Art and the Warsaw Entertainment Theater. Secondary criteria include the preservation of identity in the new urban context or the use of solutions for adaptation to climate change. Facilities for pedestrian and bicycle traffic will also be taken into account.

Entries for the competition should be sent via the ezamowienia.gov.pl platform .

prizes

Three prizes and one honorable mention have been distributed in the competition:

  • 1st Cash Prize in the amount of PLN 35,000.00 gross and an invitation to negotiate a sole-source contract for the performance of a service based on the selected Competition Work
  • II Cash Prize in the amount of PLN 20,000.00 gross
  • Third monetary award in the amount of PLN 10,000.00 gross
  • Cash prize in the form of an award of PLN 5,000.00 gross

The jury will consist of 7 people:
